Here are some of our favorite apps for new moms; some baby-oriented, some pregnancy-related, and some just really darn convenient.

QuadCamera

For photos of your baby in action try QuadCamera. This unique photo app takes four to eight continuous pictures and then turns them into one image. It’s especially great when your baby is moving about, and you’re trying to capture the best shot.

Doodle Buddy

Toddlers will love this app, encouraging finger painting at its finest! The app makes clever and funny sounds, there are plenty of stamps to add to your pictures, you can scribble inside the stencils for shapes, and upload and post your photos. Kids will love it, parents will become addicted, and it will definitely keep them quiet in the car for a long journey.

Baby Tracker: Nursing

Nursing Tracker is designed to help keep breast feeding a little more organized. You can easily record when your baby was last nursed, on which side, and for how long. There’s also a stopwatch function and a way to keep track of up to six babies. You can also export the data via email in (CSV) format for import into Excel or other spreadsheet programs and visually see a summary of full day nursing times and session counts, ready to show your doctor or lactation consultant.

Mom Maps

From playdates to indoor fun to exciting playgrounds, Mom Maps lets parents find kid-friendly fun whenever, and where ever, you need it. It includes an extensive list of parks, playgrounds, restaurants, museums and indoor play areas, as well as reviews by parents, for parents. Users can save and bookmark  favorite locations, read reviews, view and upload videos, use the built-in GPS, share via Facebook and email. There are over 28,000 locations listed, and growing, throughout the US, Canada, and Europe.

aSleep: Kids Edition

aSleep: Classic is a helpful way to get your baby or toddler to fall asleep. It comes with a timer and selection of fifteen different lullabies, letting you and your baby relax during changing a diaper, bathing and nursing, and nighttime.

Voice Toddler Cards

Designed for kids from 1 to 5 years old, these Toddler cards feature 400 photo flashcards, including the alphabet, numbers, colors, food, shapes, animals, and more! When users touch a card, it can speak in English, Spanish, or your own voice. A swipe of the finger goes to the next or previous card, and a short musical sound is played as it flips. There is also an AutoForward option, making it great for the littlest ones.
