CodeCollectorPro is a supremely lightweight and useful app, created by Mcubed Software.

CCP is designed to help you store snippets of code for later retrieval. This app is incredibly useful for Web Designers or Developers, as it allows you to store for example, a contact form PHP script, and quickly grab the code whenever you build out a client site. In terms of ease of use, this app is beyond simple. It’s at a level where Parrots could work the app.

Install

As a Mac user, you’ll know installing apps is essentially a 3 or 4 click operation. CCP has a really cool install screen though, so I thought I’d show you it…

Once you’ve install the app, that’s pretty much all there is to it! Your ready to start editing, copying and creating code snippets for use at a later point. The time this app will save me in particular is going to be quite amazing, each client site I work on, I often have to re-code certain common elements, but I will be using this app from now on. If I work on 10 client sites a month, and on each one I save a mere 10 minutes, I have an extra 100 minutes to play with. The app also promises to keep your code organized too, so your not going to be digging through lists of snippets, thanks to the Groups feature.

Included in the box are some Hello World scripts in php, C, Java and Objective C and various XHTML / HTML blank pages (with headers e.t.c)

These in particularly are handy if you like to hand code as much as possible, but constantly forget the Doctype or xmlns content.

Adding a Snippet takes less than you can press CMD – C + CMD -V. You can also drag files to the app.
