Got the Twitter twitch? You’re not the only one. Everyday, more people are joining the social networking site. And once you’re in, you’re hooked – and Mac makes it easier to stay there. The newly launched Tweetie gives you access to Twitter from your desktop.
When you launch the App, you sign in the same way you would with, say, a messenger service, and have access to all of the same things you would when logging into the site. With easy admittance to your replies, profiles, and everything else, your new Twitter client’s interface gives a slick look for keeping your followers up-to-date.
Like other messaging clients, you can keep track of complete conversations, saving all history up to the latest tweet. You can compose independent messages in different windows, like you would having different conversations. Direct messages offer private “chatting”, and the additional bookmarket download let’s you easily share your favourite links with the click of a button. You can also customize notifications, automatically shorten URLs, and incorporate your favourite image hosting service.
Still in its new stages, undoubtedly it will be updated soon. Developed by Atebits LLC, this free software (with ads) or $14.95 (without) gives you the chance to tweet your way to conveniently accessing all your Twitter needs.
