Do Borders know something we don’t? In a recent survey published online, Borders we’re presumably looking to gauge buying habits regarding “Digital Reading Devices”. But one of the survey options is very interesting indeed. According to Borders, you’ll be able to buy an “Apple iPad” this year! This ‘iPad’ is dubbed as a “large screen reading device”.
Could this be insider knowledge? Did the survey maker decide to have a little joke?

Upon closer studying, this survey mentions a “Plastic Logic Reader”, which is to be available next year. A quick search on Google reveals this device does in face exist, and confirms it will be available for ordering in Q2 of 2010. However, the survey also list’s the iPod touch as an iTouch. This may suggest its just an error, or maybe the survey creator is an Apple fan – and wants to make this device a reality? Most likely it’s speculation, but this won’t stop every mac fan across the globe praying Borders are right.
