Stealthy goings on at Apple… January 6th, 2010

Ever noticed how, before every product launch, something always leaks? Take for example, the iPod touch last year. Pictures began to circulate the web, some 'chinese case manufacturers' even began producing cases for iPod nanos and touches with cameras. Before the new iMacs, before the iPhone and before every major Apple product - it seems that someone is always able to get insider knowledge. But how can that be? It would seem logical, that such a huge, well-funded and respected company as ...

Foxnews has apparently received confirmation from within Apple that the rumored event at the YBCA in January will be happening. The source is said to be from within the Apple castle. Fox claim the date is likely to be the 26th of January, which matches previous rumors and reports. This event is said to be 'big' and will focus on the 'mobility space'. This is obviously quite a broad term, as half of the Apple products are portable, but hints ...

Labeled the Core i5-520M, Core i5-430M, Core i3-350M and Core i3-330M, the new CPUs are said to be set for release in the first half January. These CPUs are said to be aimed at notebooks. With the i7 quad-core iMacs shipping, geeks are finally able to get their hands on the new systems and test them out. First impressions are good. Geekbench and Cinebench scorings for the new iMacs show the Desktop class processor's have real meaty processing power, in a consumer grade product. There are also lots of unboxings popping up on YouTube, such as this one by soilderknowsbest. Blogger Timon Royer has posted lots of benchmark results too. You should check those out here. Here's one users ...

Canabalt is probably one of the most easy and simple iPhone games ever. Here's the idea. Your running away from some robots blowing up a city. You have to jump from buildings, avoid bombs and boxes and keep going as far as you can. It's all operated by 1 control, tapping your finger to jump. The longer you press it down, the higher and longer you jump (depending on speed). That's all there is to it. Here's some of the screenplay: (hint, the ...

A pretty decent line-up in its own right. But these products aren't tablet level. The event will be held in San Francisco, most likely at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, which has hosted Apple event's before. This would confirm speculation we won't see an iPad till at least Q1 ...
