New changes to the core of Logic Pro, Apple’s audio production suite, now make it easier for everyone to sound professional.The group of applications in the suite include Logic Pro 9, Main Stage 2, and Soundtrack Pro 3, available from the Apple Store for $499, an upgrade price of $199, or an academic price of $449.
Apple claims a tally of 200 new features and updates. This includes Amp Designer and Pedalboard, upping your collection of gear. Amp Designer allows you to mix and match 25 amp heads, 5 EQs, 10 reverbs, 25 speaker cabinets, and 3 mics that you can position anywhere you’d like. Pedalboard delivers 30 stompboxes, designed to reproduce their originals to a T.
Most notably they’ve introduced Flex Time, a collection of features that lets you manipulate your timing and tempo – easy editing for amatuers. Just some of the excellent additions let you drag the waveforms without splicing, edit drum tracks with ease, change the speed with the touch o fa button and automatically alter your imorted audio to conform to the tempo. And the list goes on.
